Guzoo Zoo is located in Three Hills, Alberta. It is a disgusting prison for wild animals owned by a man who couldn’t care less what happens to them. These animals live in their own waste and garbage. They have no access to water, live in tiny enclosures without any shelter or privacy, and clearly many of these animals are not meant to live in the beyond cold conditions one encounters in Alberta winters. This place shouldn’t just be cleaned up, it needs to be shut down. Although this place has been brought to the attention of authorities many times it has not been closed. Recently it has come to media attention after a young man posted photos of the horrific conditions.

I always think Victoria is awesome and safe and then things like this happen and make me sick to my stomach. No one should have to worry about their safety in a residential area at 10 o’clock at night. Horrifying.

This is awful but the end part makes me pissed:

Fuck right off. I am sick and tired of this rape culture bullshit where if a woman gets assaulted or raped she carries some of the blame. It is NEVER OKAY to rape someone or for that matter, rob someone or assault someone. It’s a crime, it’s the perpetrators fault for committing it. I really hope it’s not going to be “when hell freezes over” that I start seeing news reports on this kind of thing where it ends with the police officer giving tips on how not to rape somebody. But probably not.

I just want to post pretty/inspo/personal stuff. Posting real world things is good but I feel more vulnerable putting those kinds of feelings on the internet. Also I miss when I didn’t pay attention to the number of followers and feel bummed when they drop. I need a clean slate! This tumblr will probably be deleted in a day or so.

I am always amazed by people who think rape is not a big deal or that if there was no violence its not rape. People feel traumatized after their homes are broken into even if they weren’t there. It is a violation of a space that is supposed to be secure and a refuge from the uncertainties of the outside world. Now imagine a violation of your body, the entity you know the best. To say that a person has no right to challenge their rapist is to say that people do not have the right to deny access to their own bodies. Which of course is some more body policing garbage. And why I wish we would get rid of the idea that if somebody can overpower someone else, then they can do whatever they want.
